This detached holiday cottage was newly built in 2008 to
provide luxury yacht styled accommodation for two
adults. The spacious “lower deck” houses the
“master-cabin” bedroom & en-suite shower-room, with
separate utility & 2nd W.C. The “upper deck”
is laid with oak ships decking and the open plan
accommodation comprises a stainless steel & granite
kitchen with designated dining & living areas. A glass
wall with folding sliding doors opens onto a large south
facing balcony which benefits from side sea views but
mainly overlooks the open country side where cows graze
the fields and house martins sweep the skies. The nautical
theme for Egton Bell is based on the owners shipping
history, with the cottage being named after their last
ship the “M.S. Egton”, which was built in Sunderland in
